VIDEO: Ricky Hatton trains in Limerick’s Southill

Ricky Hatton brought his considerable expertise and experience to Limerick as he visited a boxing club in the city as part of the Southside Summer Fest.

The former IBF and WBA welterweight champion, who lost just three fights in a 48 bout career, signed autographs for admirers and provided tips for young boxers in a visit to the Southside Boxing Academy.

He was joined by Anthony and Sonny Upton, the Belfast based brothers for whom Hatton now acts as a trainer.

In this video Hatton talks about the positive effects sport can have in disadvantaged communities, about growing up on a council estate in Manchester and his new career as a trainer.
