This Galway V Mayo GAA Irish dance-off at a wedding is incredible

When Trevor Blake from Mayo and Sandra Lynskey from Galway got married, they weren’t just pledging their love for one another, they were also doing their part to improve relations between their two home counties.

And their reception at the Lady Gregory Hotel in Gort featured what just might be the best wedding entertainment we’ve ever seen - a symbolic Galway Vs Mayo dance-off between young GAA players acting out the longstanding rivalry of the counties though Irish dancing.

The wedding took place on New Year’s Eve but the video, filmed by Noel Uniacke, has gone viral in the last few days after being shared by Galway Bay Fm.

The brilliant performers are from the Gavin Dance Academy where the bride was also a dancer.

The video has since been viewed over 200,000 times - and will no doubt provide a bit of inspiration for any couples planning their big day.
