WATCH: The supermoon eclipse over Dingle

Irish Examiner readers were out in force last night and early this morning capturing images from the supermoon lunar eclipse, the first event of its kind since 1982.

One Youtuber caught the most beautiful footage of the entire event.

Watch the orange sky give way to darkness as the moon glows, lighting up the night sky before it gradually disappears.

Many thanks to for the video.
