VIDEO & PICS: Delight around the country as Junior Cert students pick up results

It was a day full of excitement for over 60,000 students as they picked up their Junior Cert results.

We sent our team of photographers out to capture the joy and relief of the students as the waiting came to an end and they got to see the payoff of all their hard work.

Students at Colaiste/Gaelcholaiste Choilm, Ballincollig were thrilled with their results.

We went behind the scenes at Regina Mundi, Cork as the Junior Cert results are handed out by acting principal John Maxwell and year head, Sandra Lane.

Three pupils - Ciara Murphy, Aine Ginty and Niamh Lyons - achieved 10 A's.

There was delight at St.Aloysius College in Carrigtwohill as the students opened their results.

Anna and Aoife from Christ the King were thrilled to get 10As and 9As respectively.

The rest of the students at Christ the King were equally delighted.

Here are more photos from an exciting day for all Junior Cert students. Congratulations to all!

Pictures taken by Dan Linehan, Denis Minihane, Larry Cummins and Domnick Walsh.
