Members of the 55th Naval Cadet Class commissioned as officers at Naval Base

The cadets of the 55th Naval Cadet Class were commissioned as officers of the Naval Service the Naval Base, Haulbowline in Cork on Friday.

Videographer Denis Minihane captured the highlights from the ceremony at the Naval Base which was attended by family and friends of those being commissioned.

Minister of state for Defence, Paul Kehoe, who was present at the ceremony welcomed the family and friends of the members of the 55th Naval Cadet Class and described the day as an "extremely proud day" for all present.

"I'm delighted to be here in Haulbowline with you all this afternoon for this commissioning ceremony," he said.
