Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert has praised Roy Keane’s contribution as his assistant and hinted he will hold talks with the Corkman about extending his stay at the club.
Lambert, who himself has recently signed a new four-year contract, said: “Roy has been really great here at Villa. He has been great for me and no doubt we will talk in the future.
“He has a great experience of football. I have a good guy beside me and I am glad he is here at Villa.”
Meanwhile, Lambert has had a sneak preview of some of Keane’s second autobiography due to be published next week.
Lambert said: “I’ve seen bits of it and it’ll be, aye, listen take cover like. He has a full stop dedicated to me! It will be good night time reading.”
