Ronan names squad

Republic of Ireland women’s team boss Sue Ronan last night named her squad for the UEFA Euro 2013 Group 4 qualifier against Scotland.

Ireland lie second in their qualification group behind France, but with a game in hand. Scotland are two points further back in joint third. Ronan said: “This is an important game for us, we have an opportunity to take a huge step towards qualification if we can get a result in Edinburgh. Scotland were impressive in their first match winning 6-1 away to Israel and drew against a good Welsh team so we need to be on our game.
