Henderson earns new deal

PROMISING Irish midfielder Conor Henderson has earned a new, extended contract with Arsenal.

The 19-year-old Republic of Ireland youth international’s precision passing and eye for goal helped Steve Bould’s U-18s side retain the Premier Academy League title last season.

Dubliner Henderson’s good form also saw him make seven appearances for the reserves last season and earned him a place in the first team squad for the Premier League trip to Wigan Athletic in April.
