David Meyler to sign new long-term deal with Hull

Republic of Ireland international midfielder David Meyler is on the verge of signing a new long-term deal at Hull.

Meyler comes to the end of his current deal at the KC Stadium this summer.

He is in advanced talks with the club and manager Steve Bruce said: “We’re getting close with Meyler.”

The 34-year-old is expected to join Belgian side Standard Liege and posted a message on Twitter above a picture of United’s training ground saying: “Thank you all for your support during these months of hard work for me. I will never forget! See you soon!”
