Treacy in for students’ clash with French

SEAN TREACY, son of Olympic silver medallist John, is included in the Irish Colleges squad for tomorrow night’s tie with their French equivalents at Stade Gilbert Santiago in Barbezieux (7pm, Irish).

Treacy is one of four Clontarf players with Hugo Nolan, Michael Kearney and Ben Reilly.

There are a number of AIB League regulars included in the 22-man selection including David Mongan (Old Belvedere), John Cleary (Galwegians), Lorcan Kavanagh (Lansdowne), Ballymena duo Ross Hackney and Andrew Ferguson along with John Clogan (Shannon) and Wayne Falvey (UCC).

The Irish Colleges Rugby Union incorporates universities, agricultural colleges and institutes of technology, army and garda colleges along with other third-level Institutions.
