Force Breeders’ Cup decision imminent

A DECISION on whether Workforce runs in the Breeders’ Cup Turf at Churchill Downs in two weeks’ time is expected at the weekend.

Connections of the Sir Michael Stoute-trained colt have been deliberating whether to run the Derby and Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe hero just a month after his latest success at Longchamp.

“There’s no news about Workforce. There will be a decision over the weekend,” said Teddy Grimthorpe, racing manager to owner Prince Khalid Abdullah.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding Workforce’s participation in America, bookmakers have the lightly-raced King’s Best colt as the favourite at around 2-1 for the mile and a half race.
