Rauktys banned for two years

Irish athlete Tomas Rauktys has been banned for two years after being found guilty of doping offences.

Rauktys, a discus and shot put thrower, tested positive for prohibited substance Stanozolol after his win at the National Championships.

He will have his two-year ban backdated to August 15 — the date on which he was provisionally suspended by Athletics Ireland. Rauktys’ results from July 27- August 15 are also disqualified.
