Magnificent seven settled on

All seven nominees for this year’s Billy Coleman Award for the Young Rally Driver of the Year have now been announced.

Last Wednesday, Motorsport Ireland revealed Cavan’s Gary Kiernan was the bi-monthly winner for September/October courtesy of class wins in events in Shannon, Gweedore and Bantry, where he secured a class victory in the Dunlop series.

The governing body also nominated Donegal’s Kevin Eves as the wild card entry.

The other nominees are Monaghan’s Josh Moffett (January-February); Galway’s Dean Raftery (March-April); Monaghan’s Stephen Wright (May-June); and Mayo’s David Carney (July-August).

Kerry’s Robert Duggan, who won the Junior category of the Dunlop National Rally Championship, completes the list.

The winner will be announced at the Motorsport Ireland Dunlop Champions of Irish Motorsport Awards on December 10.
