Glancy and Feaver earn final shot

Ireland’s Daniel Glancy yesterday succeeded in qualifying for his first doubles final on the ITF Men’s Circuit in six months.

The Mayo man and Britain’s James Feaver edged William Boe-Wiegaard (USA) and Sweden’s Patrik Brydolf in a roller-coaster semi-final clash in the outdoor claycourt event in Mersin, Turkey, coming through 7-5 6-7 (5/7) 10/5. The No 3 seeds now face the unseeded duo of Australia’s Maverick Banes and New Zealand’s Sebastian Lavie in today’s decider.
