Carrick host St Patrick’s Day race

Iverk Produce CarrickWheelers will again host its traditional St Patrick’s Day race today with the 100km event finishing on the top of St John’s Hill on the outskirts of the town.

Sean Lacey and Tim Barry will spearhead the Dan Morrissey/Speedy Spokes while Paidí O’Brien will also fancy his chances on thefinish.

Richard Hooton (VisitNenagh) has been in good form of late, as too has Waterford Racing team’s Robin Kelly and the latter has a good record here so cannot be discounted.

Sign on is at the Carrick Utd Clubhouse, Coolnamuck Road, Carrickbeg, Carrick-on-Suir, from 9am, with racing starting at 11.30am.

There are three races; one for A1/A2 combined and then two separate races for A3s and A4s.
