Limerick win will set up Semple final

LIMERICK’S reward for victory in Sunday’s Munster SHC semi final against Clare will be a provincial decider at the Thurles home of final opponents Tipperary.

However that is the only final combination that will bring the Munster final to a newly-refurbished Semple Stadium — if Mike McNamara’s Clare emerge victorious on Sunday, they will meet Tipperary in Limerick’s Gaelic Grounds on July 13, a Munster Council meeting confirmed last night.

Other fixtures finalised include next Wednesday’s Munster JFC final between Cork and Kerry at Páirc Uí Chaoimh, and on the same evening, the provincial minor hurling semi finals, with Waterford meeting Cork at Walsh Park and Tipperary facing Clare in Thurles. Both throw in at 7.30pm.
