Keane backs Cork to reclaim Sam

ROY KEANE has backed his native Cork in Sunday’s All-Ireland SFC final.

The Ipswich Town boss, a big fan of gaelic football since his schooldays, is looking forward to seeing Conor Counihan’s men claim the Sam Maguire Cup at Croke Park.

He said: “The Rebel County, I never back against them. It’s the greatest county in the world!

“For the football anyway, not the hurling.”

Keane is in no doubt that Cork will win the final for the first time in 20 years:

“It’ll be a good game, but the Rebels will be OK on Sunday. I don’t know how many years it’s been since they last won, but it’s just a number and we’ll change that Sunday.”
