GAA Podcast: The Super 8 - 'Paraic Duffy said there’s nothing to fear. I think there’s plenty to fear'

John Fogarty says the Super 8 is elitist and will make the strong stronger and the weak weaker.

In this week's PaperTalk podcast, Irish Examiner GAA correspondent John Fogarty reflects on a landmark weekend at GAA Congress and a controversial new championship structure.

With the players and club players bodies both in opposition to the championship changes, John ponders the likelihood of a players' strike.

He asks where does the GPA go now? “Are they just about the money or are they about reform?”

And he wants to hear more from Liam Griffin and Derek Kavanagh of the CPA: “Respected men, who’ve been compiling the strategies and schedules and formats that the CPA claim are better than what’s out there at the moment.”

John and Colm O’Connor also review the weekend’s Allianz League action, featuring an impressive win for Monaghan in Kerry.
