French beach to host Gaelic football blitz

ON the day post-training ice baths have been discredited, GAA clubs have been invited to a beach-Gaelic football tournament on the sunny French coast.

European GAA chiefs have invited junior clubs all over Ireland to participate in a seven-a-side beach tournament in Nantes on Saturday, June 7, with interested parties invited to declare their interest before May 10.

The tournament will take place all the day in Pornichet Beach ( on the Atlantic Coast. There are no tournament fees, cheap lunch stands will be set up beside the pitches, and a dinner will be organised in the area.
