McGrath goal boost as Clare coast past one-dimensional Leitrim

Clare grabbed their fourth win in Division 4 when they had six points to spare over Leitrim in Cusack Park yesterday.

Playing with the breeze, the Banner goaled in the sixth minute through Shane McGrath and enjoyed a 1-8 to 0-5 lead at the interval. The visitors were too reliant on the boot of James Glancy, who kicked all but one of their scores before the break, including a penalty sent over the bar.

Scores by McGrath, Rory Donnelly and Alan Clohessy kept Clare in command after the change of ends.
