The GAA have expressed disappointment with the unfurling of a large “Right 2 Water” banner on Hill 16 on Sunday.
It was seen for a few minutes before it was bunched and put away by supporters.
“We had no knowledge of it, obviously,” said the GAA’s head of media relations Alan Milton. “It was non- sporting, non-GAA and once it crosses into the political sphere we asked for them to be removed.
“We discourage these displays not because we have taken a position on water but because we are opposed to political acts on GAA property. Croke Park is not a people’s vehicle to put across personal or political views.”
