Dublin seek hearing on George’s red card against Kerry

Dublin are seeking a hearing regarding Sean George’s proposed ban arising from his dismissal in their Division 1 win over Kerry.

The team’s media manager, Seamus McCormack, last night confirmed they were taking up their option for a date with the Central Hearings Committee after the defender was issued with a straight red card for an off-the-ball incident in the second half of the opener in Croke Park.

George wasn’t named in the panel for Dublin’s game with Westmeath in Mullingar on Sunday.
