Cork City in red to support county

CORK CITY FORAS Co-Op will wear their red away strip in tomorrow’s home Airtricity First Division fixture against Mervue United in support of Conor Counihan’s Cork footballers who take on Down in the All-Ireland SFC final on Sunday week.

In its previous guise, Cork City briefly wore red in the late 1990s before reverting to the traditional green of Cork soccer in 2002.
