Make Christmas extra special this year with literally thousands of unique gifts to choose from at Gifted: Craft and Design Fair Cork at City Hall Cork from November 29 to December 1.

Gifted: Craft and Design Fair Cork is the ultimate destination for anyone interested in craft, design, unique independent brands and artisan food producers.

There will be a huge concentration on sustainable gifts, with some of Ireland’s most original sustainable living brands.

Many of this year's exhibitors will have signs at their stands saying "Ask me my sustainable story" - so shoppers can find out more about the origins of the gifts they are buying. The fair also features The Spectacular Christmas Food Emporium with over 25 local artisan food producers, tempting visitors with the best of the season’s fare.

The following is a selection of the artists due to feature at Art Source Cork, making Gifted: Craft and Design Fair Cork, one of the most exciting events to be hosted at City Hall Cork this year.

Art Source Cork features 20 of Ireland's top artists

And this year sees the launch of Art Source Cork, featuring the best of contemporary Irish artists, which will run alongside Gifted Cork.

Art Source Cork will feature 20 of Ireland’s top artists and galleries showcasing affordable painting, sculpture, photography, illustration and ceramic and textile art.

Maria Tanner Cohen's work reflects upon Ireland's ancient heritage.

Maria Tanner Cohen is an artist based in An Rinn Gaeltacht in Waterford. Much of her work is influenced by an interest in our ancient heritage, which is embodied in myths and legends as well as the core values of our Druidic past and Brehon Laws.

Miriam Fitzgerald Juskova creates visually stunning three-dimensional artwork.

Maria Fitzgerald Juskova, originally from Slovakia, has been living in Ireland for the past 15 years, creating three-dimensional artwork. Her work is referred to as Paper On Edge, based on an old traditional technique of paper quilling.

Pat Flannery's art comes in limited edition prints as well as mugs, coasters and greeting cards.

Pat Flannery lives in Galway. Her work ranges from small paintings suitable for a shelf or mantelpiece to large statement pieces, and includes original art, limited edition prints, blank greeting cards, mugs, coasters and Totes bags. Her pieces feature in private collections in the USA, Australia and England.

John O'Sullivan has developed his own unique style in abstract landscapes and seascapes.

John O’Sullivan lives and works in Kenmare, Co Kerry. Prior to being an artist, he worked in the UK and within the multinational sector in Ireland. He took early retirement in 2013 to devote himself full time to painting. He has developed his own unique style in abstract landscapes and seascapes. His works at this show will feature pieces entitled: Winter's Tale, Blue World, Many Shades of Green, and Kenmare Bay.

Yong Jin brings his own unique vision to themes such as the animal featured in this display.

Yong Jin's distinctive works feature nature as a prominent theme. He is a Chinese artist who is based in Ireland since 2002. He looks for inspiration in Nature and gets new ideas from modern culture. The pieces on display will include titles such as Wolf, Gorilla, Wise Owl, Snow Leopard, Tiger and Storm.

Miriam Smithers has exhibited extensively in Ireland and overseas.

Miriam Smithers takes inspiration for my work from looking at the human form and how we as people interact with each other. She has exhibited in galleries and venues throughout Ireland and England. Many of her timeless paintings are part of collections in the United States, Great Britain and Australia.

Olivia O'Carra finds inspiration in capturing children who are focused on a given task.

Olivia O'Carra is a landscape artist based in Killarney, Co Kerry. She works in oils. She loves to paint children while they are involved in some activity; she finds their total focus on the task so inspiring.

Chris Quinlan specialises in oil on canvas, with themes including the beauty of nature.

Chris Quinlan is a dynamic impressionist artist, originally from Co Tipperary, who is now living in Co Westmeath. He uses multiple mediums to create his artistic expressions but predominantly specialises in oil on canvas, using a vibrant kaleidoscope of colours to capture the beauty and essence of nature with a deep textured technique. He enjoys watching the various reflections and breathing in the salty tranquility of the sea; which inspired his ‘Sail Away’ collection.
