Spiced apple crumble

Method
Place the flour in a large bowl and add the butter. Using your fingertips rub in the butter until it looks like fine bread crumbs, then add in the sugar. For a variation you can use brown sugar if you wish.
Place the sliced apples in a greased pie dish, sprinkle on the sultanas and the sugar, the ground cloves and just mix around a little bit. You can add about 3 tbsp of cold water at this stage; it will just help the apples to juice up. Sprinkle on the crumble topping and press down.
Place in a hot oven, about 180°C and bake for 30-40 minutes.
