Trading up: Watergrasshill, Cork €265,000

There’s a whole lot of house for traders-up, or even first-time buyers at 1, The Drive, Priory Court, in Watergrasshill.

Within a pretty short commute by car to Cork city, a buyer will get over 1,500 sq ft of modern four-bed, detached house, on a corner site, for €265,000 or so, via estate agents Jeremy Murphy & Associates.

He says the vendors are house-proud, and No 1 is extremely well-kept and decorated. It has linked front living room and rear dining room with garden access, family room, kitchen/breakfast room, utility plus guest WC all at ground level, and overhead one of the four beds is en suite.

It’s now under offer, at €250,000 and is showing well. “Glanmire and Watergrasshill can be somewhat similar markets, but you get better value and more house for your money if you go to Watergrasshill,” says Mr Murphy.

Builders were McInerneys, and while the build quality is good, the owners here upped the spec and feel, and it’s simply an appealing home, adds the selling agent.

No 1 has gardens front and back, off street parking and the rear garden has a corner, raised decked section to catch the rays, with fenced side boundaries and ivies climbing up and greening in the block back wall.

VERDICT: Lots of good space for the cash.
