SET just a few minutes’ walk away from the heart and soul of Cork’s Blackrock village’s new plaza by the pier is the Eden development.

Ms Stokes say No 17 has been fully refurbished and refitted to a very high standard, and notes that sales of new, and refreshed Eden apartments and houses (plus others in the conserved and converted former Ursuline Convent in whose grounds Eden was developed) have been strong over the past year or so, with the Blackrock suburb very much in Cork’s ascendent.
VERDICT: Back when Eden was first launched, Blackrock held the promise of a major makeover and new open, public water-fronting and green park spaces. A decade on, the jig-saw pieces are finally falling into place in this picture pretty urban ‘village’ renewal.
