As an attractive, affordable modern, two-bed semi-d, located close to Midleton town centre, Mursea is a bungalow with broad appeal.

“We have had interest from first time buyers and from downsizers — it’s perfect for an older buyer looking for a single-story property.

“It’s also attractive to investors and could be rented for €1,000 a month,” says Shay Cronin of Cronin Wall Properties.

He is seeking offers of €160,000 for the 750 sq ft property which is also known as No 2, The Cottage, Dickenson’s Lane.

Built in 2007, it’s one of a small number of bungalows in the Lisheen Court development. Mr Cronin says it’s in excellent order and is within a few minutes walk from shops in the main street.

The front door opens into a 23 ft long open plan kitchen /dining living area which has tiled flooring and cream units in the kitchen area, and has timber flooring in the living section. There’s also a bathroom and two laminate-floored bedrooms.

The property doesn’t have a garden but has a paved area at the front, which it shares with the adjoining cottage, and also has two designated parking spaces. Out front there is space for a few flower tubs and potted plants as well as a small garden shed.

Mr Cronin says that opportunities to buy a modern bungalow in “walk-in condition” in central Midleton are rare. While you could buy a two-bed apartment for this price, he reckons many people would prefer a bungalow.
