Good selection

THE Woodwards sale in Cork next Wednesday at 6pm features a good selection of Georgian, Regency, Victorian and Edwardian furniture. There is a pair of Tipperary Crystal chandeliers and a selection of silver.

Art includes a maquette of the President Cearbhall Ó Dáiligh memorial in Sneem by Vivienne Roche as well as portraits by Edith Somerville and Jack Coughlan. The sale is on view from 2pm to 5pm today and tomorrow and from 10am to 5pm on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

In Waterford the sale at RJ Keighery’s City Auction Rooms, George’s Quay next Monday at 10am includes a collection of 30 Meissen figures. A Victorian dining table with two extra leaves is estimated at €1,400-€1,800, and the auction includes a pair of inlaid mahogany corner cabinets (€1,200-€1,500), an Edwardian secretaire (€500-€700), a portrait of Mrs.

Arthur Mair by Julius Jacob (€600-€900) and some inlaid bedroom suites.

There is a Tiffany 14 carat gold bracelet (€600-€800) and a mink coat (€2,800-€3,500). Viewing from noon to 5pm today and tomorrow.
