* Kanturk Flower and Garden Club will meet on Wednesday May 14 at 8.00pm with guest speaker Rachel Budd, Organic Horticulturalist. Everyone welcome, €5 with refreshments served.

* Clonakilty Flower Club will host its charity gala night on Monday May 12 in Fernhill House at 8.00pm with a demonstration by Eileen O’Brien AOIFA followed by supper and plant sales.

* East Cork Flower Club will visit Fota Gardens followed by guided tour of Fota House today at 2.00pm.

* Ballincollig Flower & Garden Club are invited to a garden walk and refreshments at the home of Mary O’Connell, Passage West, Co Cork, on Monday May 12 at 7pm. Ballincollig Club members only. Entry €5.00. All proceeds in aid of Marymount Hospice.

* Ardfield Rathbarry Gardening Club will host speaker Sarah Devoy for a talk on Thursday, May 15 in the Parish Hall at 8.00pm. All welcome.

* Skibbereen’s Deelish Garden Centre is presenting Cathy Eastman from Gortbrack Organic Farm in Kerry for a workshop on organic composting and wildflowers tomorrow afternoon at 2.30pm.

* As part of a series of talks by high-profile gardeners, Carewswood Garden Centre are hosting garden designer, Brian Cross, on Sunday May 18 at 2pm. carewswoodgardencentre.ie or phone 021 2428494.

* Bantry Garden Club’s talk on Monday May 12 has been cancelled but a garden tour on Saturday, June l4 is planned.

* The Irish Wildlife Trust will hold a tree and flower walk at Ballincollig Regional Park today at 2.00pm. Meet at Chico’s Coffee Bar with walk leader, Jo Goodyear, a botanist, herbalist and forager.

* GIY Clonakilty meet on Monday, May 12 at O’Donovan’s Hotel at 8.00pm for discussion on polytunnel gardening. Contact Susan 086-3451175.

* Coláiste Stiofáin Naofa (CSN) will hold its Annual Plant Sale on Tuesday May 13 and Wednesday May 14. Plants available include annuals, herbs, vegetables, trees, and shrubs. Opening times 9am to 5pm. All welcome.
