THERE’S more than a touch of old world elegance to Summerhill North, in Cork city’s St Luke’s Cross: in fact, the regentrification of the area hit a high note on Sunday last, when soprano Cara O’Sullivan wrapped up a few weeks of musical performances in the adjacent St Luke’s former church building almost across the street, in view and almost within earshot from No 72.
Now, the period era semi-detached house in this old suburban hinterland, a five-10 minute walk to the city centre is for sale, listed with agent Gillian McDonnell of Sherry FitzGerald who describes it as an attractive, older-world townhouse.
