IT might be a crude analogy, but houses at Bridgewater, a trading up location just west of Cork city, have dropped close to €100,000 a year for the past two years.
The strongest sales of these c1,600 sq ft four-bed family homes came just over two years ago, topping out at €630,00 and even €650,000 at the height of the boom.
By last year, they’d slumped back €100,000, and now the already extended No 18 is priced at €450,000 for an autumn 2009 market.
That’s the asking price pinned by Mark Kelly of Lisney on this walk-in job at Bridgewater, at Carrigrohane, handily placed for all of Ballincollig’s services, as well as quick access to the city and two third level colleges.
No 18 faces over a public green, with a small enough front garden and parking space, while the back garden has a favourable south-west aspect and patio off the back extension.
