Man held over halting site shooting is released
The 19-year-old man questioned by gardaí over the shooting of a young woman at an unauthorised halting site in Dublin last Saturday morning has been released.
The man was arrested under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act and he was questioned at Donnybrook Garda station until his release this morning.
A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Eighteen-year-old Ms Christina Ward was shot in the leg in at her caravan in Ringsend by two masked men, one of whom was armed with a shotgun.
The wounded woman underwent surgery at St Vincent's hospital where her condition is described as stable.
