Former Herald editor Paul Drury dies
The death has taken place of the former editor of the Evening Herald Paul Drury.
Mr Drury, who had been battling cancer, was editor of the Evening Herald from 1994 until 1999, and was editor of the Irish Daily Mail at its launch in 2006.
He was managing editor of Associated Newspapers Ireland from 2008 until 2011, after which time he worked as a freelance columnist and commentator.
He is survived by his wife Aine, a former RTE journalist, and three children, aged in their teens and early 20s.
