Lia and Roisin Hegrum, from Carrigaline, at the Rock N Rumble, American Car, Truck and Bike Show at Cork Con in Temple Hill, Cork.

Fancy a slice of America on Leeside? — then roll up to the very popular Rock and Rumble car show on June 6 at the grounds of Cork Con RFC.

Now in it’s seventh year, the show mixes the best of American cars, trucks and bikes with live music, cold beer and good food.

Last year, there were more tahn 150 vehicles on display, including an array of classic and muscle cars. And this year, organisers are confident of breaking the 200 mark with all the major American car clubs attending — including special guests, the Corvette UK club.

On the live music bill are local band Bog the Donkey, Hot Guitars and Hank Wedel and Ray Barron, with guitar legend Pat McManus Band, and Rubico playing later in the evening. The event will be spread again this year across three pitches at the grounds in Temple Hilll.

Entry is just €5 and the kids are free. No charge for show cars and their passengers.
