One of Ireland's largest student landlord firms has refused rent refunds to students who have chosen to go home during the Covid-19 crisis.

Concerns have been raised about the listing of some of Cork’s newest student apartments on Airbnb.

Residents of Cork's newest private student accommodation will pay rents of around €1,000 a month.

Over 600 student beds in Cork and 700-plus in Dublin, are being provided in a progressive €200 million-plus joint venture partnership by global players Harrison Street Real Estate Capital, and Global Student Accommodation Group, GSA - who’ll trade in Dublin and Cork under the brand Uninest.
