The number of people with some form of dementia in Ireland will treble over the next generation.

Today is World Alzheimer's day and events are taking place internationally to raise awareness about the disease, which affects 24 million people around the world.

The Alzheimer's Society is demanding action from the Government on a national framework for the management of dementia in Ireland.
