The world stage premiere of the award-winning novel Asking For It will be performed in Cork next year.

Nostalgia ruled at The Everyman theatre last night as it celebrated its 120th birthday and those attending the commemoration recalled the giant names in entertainment who trod the boards there, including Charlie Chaplin and George Formby.

The Everyman, the famous Victorian theatre in Cork, is celebrating 120 years of entertainment with 12 special anniversary shows this year.

The Everyman Theatre has announced its summer programme, featuring a fantastic mix of classic and contemporary theatre, music, comedy and much more.

Julie Kelleher, from Carrigaline, Co Cork, is the artistic director at the Everyman Theatre, as well as being a theatre director. She is producing an upcoming production of Juno and the Paycock at the Everyman Theatre, running from February 10–20.
