A drunk driver who killed a pedestrian and injured two gardaí has been given 240 hours’ community service in lieu of a four-year prison sentence and disqualified from driving for four years.

A Dublin city councillor showed no remorse today when she was found guilty of assaulting former Health Minister Mary Harney who was splattered with red paint at a hospital last November.
