The big crowd created a wonderful atmosphere in Ovens today, and while there was disappointment for the home fans in the 1,777 attendance, they couldn’t but be impressed with what Templenoe served up in this Munster club IFC semi-final.

Templenoe put on a brilliant display of football in Ovens today to book their place in the Munster club IFC final in two weeks. In front of a crowd of 1,777, the pre-match favourites were in terrific form and took the game to the hosts from the off. Killian Spillane and Stephen O'Sullivan leading the way sharing 12 points between them.

Aghada returned to the Premier Intermediate hurling ranks in Cork with a fully deserved victory over Éire Óg in the IHC final played in Páirc Uí Rinn this evening. They lead the game from pillar to post and generally out hurled their opponents all over the field.

Never in the history of Irish schools rugby has there been such a scene as witnessed in Musgrave Park yesterday when the Clayton Hotels Munster Junior Cup tie between Presentation Brothers College Cork and St Munchin’s College was hit by three serious injuries and ultimately abandoned after just nine minutes of play.
