I WISH to express my utter disgust at the way the most vulnerable in our society, particularly the elderly, are being treated by the Government. The proposed introduction of prescription charges for medical card-holders is yet another example of robbing the poor to cover for the mistakes of the rich.

HAVING read Michael Job’s sensible letter (September 9) regarding young drivers becoming prisoners in their homes if legislation proposed by the RSA is introduced, I want to highlight the plight of another group who are already prisoners in their homes as a result of crazy legislation.
