Ballincollig Flower & Garden Club hosts AOIFA Vice Chairman, Orla McGrane, to demonstrate “Styles for Autumn”, on Monday, October 12, at 8pm in Oriel House Hotel, Ballincollig. Visitors and new members welcome, entry €5.00.

The next Clonakilty GIY meeting will highlight the work of local gardeners who have made a photographic record of their work throughout the year and who will present a slide show on Monday, October 12, at 8pm in O’Donovan’s Hotel. 

Enjoy viewing a superb small holding garden; a community garden; herb garden; productive garden; town garden and a flower garden. Also, find out how one Giyer incorporates growing vegetables in her flower garden. A relaxed evening will be followed by a cuppa; €2 donation for room rental appreciated. Clonakilty Flower Club will hold its monthly meeting in Fernhill House Hotel on Monday, October, 12 at 8pm. Demonstration by Bernadette Scanlon AOIFA. There will also be a plant sales’ table.

Kanturk Flower and Garden Club will meet on Wednesday, October 14, at 8pm in the Temperance Hall, Kanturk, with guest speaker DJ Murphy of Bandon Garden Centre, giving a talk on “Autumn Colour in The Garden” and “Winter Gardening”. All welcome; €5.00, teas and coffees served.

The next meeting of Castlelyons Home and Garden Club will take place in the Community Centre, Castlelyons on Thursday, October 15. Fermoy Camera Club will demonstrate taking the perfect picture. They will also show photographs of the local area and its wildlife and flora.

Ardfield/ Rathbarry Gardening Club will host Miriam from Griffin’s Garden Centre to speak on the topic “Bulbs for year round colour and interest” on Thursday, October 15, in Rathbarry Parish Hall at 8pm. All are welcome.

Youghal Flower & Garden Club presents a floral demonstration by Sheila Gilbert AOIFA on Wednesday, October 14, at 8pm in the Walter Raleigh Hotel. Everyone welcome.

Innishannon Flower and Garden Club will hold its next meeting on Wednesday, October 14, at 8 pm in Barrett’s Lounge. Eric from Shannon’s Garden Centre, Clonakilty, will give a talk on “The Autumn Garden”. New members and visitors are most welcome.

Coachford Flower and Garden Club will hold its monthly meeting on Wednesday, October 21. Guest speaker is DJ Murphy. All are very welcome.
