Mairead O’Keeffe, from New Leaf Health Store and Holistic Centre, Kanturk, will speak on: ‘Five Ways to Eating for Health and Vitality’. Fleur Daly (Cleverly) will demonstrate aromatic organic candles and essential oils. Everyone welcome — admission €5, including refreshments.

¦ GIY Youghal’s next meeting will be held on Thursday, February 6, at 6.30pm, in Youghal Library. Teresa Barry, of Barry’s Nurseries, will talk about growing vegetables in containers and small areas. All welcome, admission free.
¦ Innishannon Flower and Garden Club will host Ruth Good, (florist/ landscape gardener), on February 12, at 8pm, in Barrett’s Lounge. Ruth will speak on ‘Springtime Gardening’ and will also create floral decorations with a Valentine’s Day theme.
¦ Clonakilty Flower Club will hold its February club night on Monday Feb 10 in Fernhill House at 8.00pm.
¦ Gardening expert, Dermot O’Neill, author of Clondeglass: Creating a Garden Paradise, published by Kyle Books, will receive the honorary title of ‘Fellow of the Garden Landscapes and Design Association,’ in recognition of his contribution to horticulture and the garden-design sector in Ireland over the last 30 years.
