  • Keep an eye out for bacterial cankers on growing roots and fruits.
  • Repeat mowing or scything/ strimming back of nettles and other sturdy weeds or they will undermine energy reserves and eventually kill off the plant. Why not harvest out and utilise for compost. Do not add roots of weeds to the compost heap, boil first or decompose in a plastic bag before utilising.
  • Last chance to sow spring cabbages, summer radishes, pak choi and turnips before temperatures drop.
