John Quinn’s latest work has been influenced by the loss of our young people during the recession. This piece is called the Emigration Boat and is currently on show as part of the ‘Figuratively Speaking’ exhibition in Etain Hickey’s shop in Clonakilty.

The Limerick-born artist works with a variety of stoneware clays and porcelain, with each piece slab built and high fired to 1,280c.
