1. Ann and Barry Furniture: What happens when a furniture store owner and a bridal shop boss get together? They come up with a pretty nifty name for a children’s furniture store, that’s what. The space saving beds are rather cool, and they stock brands like P’kolino and IVI play rugs. If you’re planning to go to the Ideal Home Exhibition in the RDS on Apr 20-22, check out their stand. They have the Brosna Bunk on offer at the moment for €795 online or from the store in Mullingar.

2. Of Beasts and Beauty: A crouching snow hare, tips polished to reveal a glint of bronze; a sterling silver magpie, wings spread; a Norwegian Forest cat cast in non oxidising bronze, satin finished with blue diamonds for eyes. This is Michael Tatom’s Etsy page, a peek into his world, his inspiration, his fairly awesome jewellery. Lots of choice in colour and ring sizes and even a choice of 14K or 18K gold. And his descriptions are fab, for his hammerhead shark with ruby eyes, he writes: “Denizens of the deep rejoice!” Rejoice indeed.
