Summer sales season getting into swing, writes Des O’Sullivan.

Irish art in abundance will feature at upcoming sales in Dublin and Rosslare.

Dolan’s will kick off the summer season with an art and antiques auction at Kelly’s Hotel in Rosslare at 2 pm on May 1.

There is a varied collection of paintings, watercolours, prints, sculpture, antique furniture, silver, china, rugs and collectible items.

Artists featured include Norah McGuinness, Flora Mitchell, Kenneth Webb, Brian Ballard, Mark O’Neill, Arthur Maderson, Charles Harpur, Markey Robinson, Carina Scott, Norman Teeling, Fergus O’Ryan and Frank Egginton. Viewing starts next Friday at 10 am.

Fresh from a successful viewing in London earlier this week Morgan O’Driscoll’s auction is on view at the RDS from 11 am to 6 pm today and tomorrow and from 11 am to 4 pm on Monday.

The sale of 190 lots is at 6 pm on Monday.
