Beer of the week: Notorious Red IPA

Bradleys, Galvins, Matsons, O’Briens Cork and Limerick, Molloys Liquor Store
O’Hara’s Carlow Brewing Company was founded 20 years ago this year and as part of the celebrations a number of seasonal and limited edition beers are due to be released.
Notorious is up first and doesn’t seem to have any connection to rappers or MMA fighters but could indeed be described as punchy with a lot of personality.
A blend of six speciality malts and five hops, Notorious has bright and fruity malt character with clear floral hop aromas. On the palate this has good bite and freshness and the dry-hopping comes through strongly on the finish.
