The woman behind the Kilkenny Cats Festival, former chief executive Jane Russell, is launching Cork’s very own comedy weekend from September 23.
Dermot and Dave, the Today FM duo, will debut their stand-up show, with Alison Spittle (above), Eleanor Tiernan, Deirdre O’Kane and a host of other comedians also on the bill.
Artist Tara O’Donoghue opens her new exhibition this weekend on Sherkin Island.
She completed her BA Honours Degree in Visual Arts on the island last year, part of a unique programme offered by DIT.
Bright colours, shapes and structures are the hallmark of Tara’s work.
She is primarily interested in strong bright colours, and this exhibition references images of animals, birds and flora.
An Irish artist to watch.
Earrings for the Frogs runs until July 15 at Sherkin Island Community Hall.
This weekend Só Collective at Kildare Village will be taken over by the largest and best millinery edit in Ireland, featuring only Irish designers.
They will be in store to talk through their creations, exhibit their showpieces, offer bespoke services and be on hand for one to one consultations.
Having trouble matching your outfit with headwear?
Kildare Village’s style consultant will also be available with the milliners to offer their expert advice.
Só Collective is a new home exclusively for Irish design, craft, food and culture at Kildare Village.
