1. Polo in the Park
A charity polo event in aid of the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association (IMNDA) takes place today at 3pm at the Phoenix Park Polo Club. 

Tickets cost €95 and include a glass of prosecco and strawberries, food, and entertainment by the band Created by Comets and international DJ Roman Cleiss as well as a six-team polo match.

2. Country Living

Internationally renowned gundog guru Keith Matthews and his 10 year-old son Cole will be putting on two shows tomorrow demonstrating the art of retriever training at Waterford Country Fair. 

The fair, which runs from 10am to 6pm at Curraghmore House and Gardens, will raise funds for Make-A-Wish Ireland, and includes artisan craft and food stalls, bee-keepers, wood-turners, and even medieval jousters. Admission is €10 per adult, €5 for children.

3. Classical Magic

For lovers of opera, chamber, and classical music, the 2017 Great Music in Irish Houses Festival will feature a line-up of 20 distinguished Irish and international artists who will perform in both historic and unconventional venues in Dublin over six days from Tuesday to Sunday. Tickets from €10-€50.

4. Write Stuff

Tales of travel will be told at the 15th annual Lismore Immrama Festival of Travel Writing in Co Waterford.

The festival opens on Wednesday with the screening of two award-winning travel documentaries, and keynote speakers include humanitarian and author Terry Waite and author Colm Tóibín. The festival ends on Sunday with a family day.

5. Hola Tapas

Thursday marks the second annual World Tapas Day, with a variety of restaurants and venues around Ireland celebrating Spain’s famous small plates with special menus and excellent offers. Tasting plates with a glass of wine start from €10 in participating venues. 

Culminating at Taste of Dublin in the Iveagh Gardens, the Spanish Tourism Board with The Port House restaurant will be offering samples of tapas with Spanish wines.
